250 grams plain flour
250 ml milk
2 medium eggs
3 teaspoons baking powder
100 grams ham
150 grams Gouda cheese
50 grams roasted sunflower seed
pinch of black pepper
Preparation
Sift the flour with the baking powder, add black pepper and set aside. Whisk together the milk and the eggs, dice the ham and grate the cheese, then combine everything together. Add the sunflower seed to the flour, pour in the milk mixture and combine everything really well, using a wooden spoon. Let the batter stand for about 5 minutes, then line the muffin tin with muffin liners (you will get 15 muffins), pour in the batter and bake in a preheated oven, at 200˚C (395˚F), for about 18–20 minutes (do the toothpick test). Serve slightly cooled with a salad of your choice.
